Clad welding is a coating technique. During clad/overlay/build-up welding, different layers are welded layer by layer onto smaller or larger surfaces.
Typical components that are exposed to environmental influences such as wear and corrosion are hydraulic pipes, load handling devices, vehicles, frames or hydraulic cylinders. Here, build-up welding is used to protect the surfaces with high-alloy steel or simply to correct wear and tear.
